Official: Sergio Perez extends contract with Red Bull
Mexican driver Sergio Perez has extended his contract with Red Bull until the end of 2024, according to the press service of the team.
The 32-year-old pilot will continue to be the partner of the Dutchman Max Verstappen.
“It has been an incredible week for me. Winning the Monaco Grand Prix is every driver’s dream and the subsequent announcement that I will continue with the team until 2024 just makes me very happy. I am proud to be a member of this team, I feel at home here. We work well together and my relationship with Max (Verstappen) on and off the track definitely helps us move forward,” said Perez.
Perez is third in the 2022 driver standings, behind leaders Verstappen and Monegasque Ferrari’s Charles Leclerc. Last Sunday, the Mexican won the race in Monaco.
