Former Formula 1 driver Nikita Mazepin went to court because of wage arrears to him from Haas.

The American team in early March terminated the contract with the Russian, who had been playing for them since March 2021.

– When the contract was terminated, Haas had salary arrears to me for this year. And they still haven’t paid it. It seems to me that the employer should at least compensate for the salary until the moment of dismissal and, probably, pay some kind of severance pay. And when the whole world kicked you somewhere … it’s probably wrong. But that’s just my opinion.

I’m just talking about the fact that contractual obligations were not fulfilled. This time. You also need to understand that we had two independent contracts. And the termination of the agreement with the title sponsor did not have a direct impact on my future in the team. So they made two separate decisions. I didn’t see my money, so we’re going to court. This is my personal story. The documents have already been submitted to the court, – quotes the words of Mazepin “Championship”.

Earlier, Mazepin confirmed his participation in the Silk Way rally raid, which will be held from July 6 to 16, starting in Astrakhan and finishing in Moscow. The length will be 4380 kilometers, of which 2800 kilometers are special stages.
