Spanish Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz set the best time in qualifying for the British Grand Prix, which was held in the rain.

This is the first pole position in the career of the 27-year-old driver in Formula 1. He became the 104th participant in the championship, who managed to win first place on the starting grid.

Following in the protocol are the championship leader Dutchman Max Verstappen from Red Bull and Sainz’s partner Monegasque Charles Leclerc.

Canadian Williams rider Nicholas Latifi made it to the top 10, finishing last in the third segment.

The race at Silverstone will take place on Sunday, starting at 17:00 Moscow time.
