Australian driver Oscar Piastri has reacted to Alpin’s announcement that he will be a combat driver for the Formula 1 team next season.
Racer reported in Twitterthat this information is not true.
— Alpin published a press release without my consent. It was reported that I would play for the team next season. But this is incorrect information. I did not sign a contract with Alpin for the next season. And I will not be playing for the team in 2023,” wrote Piastri.
Earlier, the press service of Alpin announced that the 21-year-old Australian will replace Fernando Alonso in the team, who will move to Aston Martin.
