Spanish influencer Pawgli has admitted she is torn over moving to London following boyfriend Pep Chavarria's 18 million pound transfer to Chelsea.

The 27-year-old content creator broke down in tears in a video shared with her followers, describing the prospect of relocating to the United Kingdom as scary and confessing that she is panicking over whether to leave Spain.

Spanish defender Chavarria, 28, recently signed a five-year contract with Premier League side Chelsea following an £18million move from Madrid-based club Rayo Vallecano. While the player is committed to London for the foreseeable future, Chelsea are hardly known for honouring long-term deals.

The couple have been dating since November last year, but Pawgli is now weighing up whether to move to England or continue their relationship long-distance from Madrid to protect her burgeoning career.

Pawgli has built a massive online following, boasting more than 1.1 million followers on social video platform TikTok, where she creates fashion, beauty, and lifestyle content for her audience.

She broke down in tears, has described the situation as 'scary', and says she is 'panicking'

Despite her distress in one video, the creator denied that her tears were caused by the prospect of losing work opportunities or missing free promotional events in the Spanish capital. However, in subsequent uploads, she clearly indicated the emotional turmoil caused by her partner's sudden career move.

Career concerns and audience focus

Explaining her hesitation to relocate to London, Pawgli emphasized her desire for financial independence and the risk to her established professional path in Spain.

"By moving to London, I'm kind of giving up on doing 100 per cent of my job," she said. "He has his job, I have mine; he earns his money, I earn mine. Nobody lives off anyone else; I don't live off my boyfriend."

She explained that her primary business connections and market remain anchored in Madrid, where major brand opportunities are concentrated.

"Therefore, by not living in Madrid, I'm losing opportunities - opportunities for me to keep growing in this - because absolutely everything is in Madrid," she noted.

Language barriers and audience retention also play a major role in her decision-making process. Pawgli admitted that while she will need to learn English, she has no desire to pivot away from her current fan base.

"I want to keep holding on to my Spanish audience," she said. "I don't know how to speak English, at least right now, though I know I'll have to learn. But no matter how much English I know, I don't want to change my audience and have an English-speaking audience. I want to stay with my Spanish audience, which is why, all things considered, living in Madrid is so good for me."

The influencer added that moving away from her support network would be personally difficult.

"As someone who is ultra mega family-oriented and super sensitive, moving to a country I don't know, where I have nothing, no life, no job, and where I'm going to lose career opportunities... And I'm doing it out of love, because I love my partner and want to build a future and a family with him," she shared.

Life in Madrid and long-distance options

Pawgli detailed the life she has established in the Spanish capital, describing it as a dream that required significant effort to achieve.

"I have my life in Madrid; I have my job in Madrid, which luckily is going very, very well," she explained. "I have projects, I have all the brands I work with there, I have daily events, I have my sister, my family, my friends. I have a life where I feel fortunate - it's a dream life for me and one that cost me a lot to build."

When Chavarria secured his high-profile transfer to English football, Pawgli was forced to re-evaluate her personal and professional future.

"So, when you start a relationship and your partner gets an opportunity like this, you're obviously ultra-mega happy for him and super proud of him, but you also have to sit down with yourself and think, 'Okay, now what do I do?'" she said.

Initially, Pawgli was convinced that relocating to London was out of the question and considered maintaining a long-distance relationship instead.

"And I swear until recently I was completely convinced that I wasn't going to move in with him," she admitted. "He has his life in London right now, I have mine in Madrid; I respect his life, he respects mine, and whenever possible, we'll see each other."

"A long-distance relationship. Something I would've never considered in my life, but if one thing was clear to me, it's that I will never in my life depend on anyone or live off anyone. I have my own income, and that's how it'll always be."

The dilemma has left her feeling overwhelmed as she weighs her options.

"All of this is scary for someone who has everything in Madrid. Right now I'm panicking, honestly, because I know it's a very tough decision," she said.

Potential move and new content ideas

Despite her panic, Pawgli acknowledged that relocating could present new creative possibilities for her channel and hinted that timing might play a role in her choice.

"I also want to be able to experience this with Pep, because if I met my boyfriend and he's been here in Madrid for like 4 years and I met him, and precisely this year he has to go to London, maybe it's because fate also wants me to go," she reflected.

"Because I'm obviously going to make content for you wherever I go, and being in London I can do even more, right? Because there are things there that aren't in Spain. I have a thousand ideas in my head because I can't stop thinking, honestly."

Pawgli, 27, has never publicly disclosed her real name. Her online handle is reportedly derived from Mowgli, the fictional human child character from Rudyard Kipling's classic story The Jungle Book.

Pep Chavarria transfer details

Left-sided defender Chavarria is considered a late bloomer in professional football, having only made his top-flight LaLiga debut at the age of 24. He went on to spend four seasons with Rayo Vallecano, a LaLiga club based in Madrid, before sealing his £18m transfer to Chelsea.

Pawgli accompanied her partner to London for his official unveiling at Chelsea's Stamford Bridge stadium. Speaking at the ceremony, Chavarria expressed his delight at joining one of world football's biggest institutions.

"This is a dream for me as Chelsea are one of the biggest clubs in the world," Chavarria said. "It is a big opportunity but I am prepared and will work hard to help the team achieve success."

The defender paid tribute to his family and credited former Spanish international player and manager Xabi Alonso for playing a crucial role in his development.

"There are a lot of people who have helped me get to this moment and I have to thank my family," Chavarria added. "They have always supported me and today is only possible because of them. I’m here thanks to Xabi (Alonso). For me, he’s one of the best coaches right now."
