Stefanos Tsitsipas will not take part in the national tennis team’s games against Jamaica (March 4-5) due to his participation in Indian Wells (March 10-20).

Without Stefanos Tsitsipas, Greece host Jamaica over the weekend of March 4-5 as part of the Davis Cup playoffs to be played at the ACE Tennis Club in Pallini, with the winning team set to compete in World Group II next September.

The 5 players who will form the Greek mission are Michalis Pervolarakis, Petros Tsitsipas, Markos Kalovelonis, Aristotelis Thanos and Alexandros Skorilas.

The matches take place on an indoor dirt floor in the appropriately designed indoor area of ​​the ACE Tennis Club.

The national tennis team continues its quest for promotion to the major division of the Men’s World Championship, which Jamaica is hosting on March 4-5, 2022 as part of the World Group II play-offs.

The meeting is organized by the Hellenic Tennis Federation (EFOA) on behalf of the World Tennis Federation (ITF).

The five games, two singles on day one, one doubles and two singles on day two, will be played on the indoor courts of Ace Tennis Club (Anthousas Ave. 9, Pallini).

Team coach Dimitris Hatzinikolaou will have five athletes available for the games against Jamaica, Michalis Pervolarakis, Petros Tsitsipas, Marko Kalovelonis, Aristotelis Thanos, Alexandros Skorilas.

Tickets are expected to be available in February and their price will be fixed at twenty (20) euros per day.

The national team’s efforts will be televised by Cosmote TV.

Ukraine’s first racket Elina Svitolina (WTA 14) became the “Opening Week” participant of the Australian Open 2026.
