Nick Kyrgios: “3 more games and I won’t have to play tennis anymore”
Australian tennis player Nick Kyrgios After the victory of Daniil Medvedev over the world racket, he spoke to reporters:
“This is the last big tournament of the year. I must continue to be patient and positive.
We’re going home next week, it’s 100%, I’m tired already. But potentially three more games and I’ll never have to play tennis again.
Honestly, looking at the Daniil matchup on paper, I probably didn’t expect to win this one. Maybe if I’m lucky I’ll get a set or two. But I wanted to give people a show and I did it and I won.
This is a great profit. But I’m leaving the pitch and I’m relieved that it’s almost over because every time I go on the pitch there’s too much pressure, too much expectation, and too much unpredictability about what I can do. After that game, I sat in the locker room and was very proud of my performance.
It was difficult in terms of psychology, but I succeeded, sort of.
During the six or seven years of my career, I fought a lot with myself. I had great results, shocking results, tried really hard and then failed. Frankly, I didn’t know how to deal with it. I beat myself up too much. It was unhealthy.
i grew up Now I know what it takes to go to the Grand Slam finals. But for now, just go to the final, don’t win any trophies.”
