Incredible Kyrgios rules out Medvedev to reach US Open quarterfinals
Nick Kyrgios (No. 25) won a 3-1 set (7-6, 3-6, 6-3, 6-2) against Daniil Medvedev (No. 1) to advance to the quarterfinals of the US Open, where he meets Karen Khachanov (No. 31) ).
Nick Kyrgios (No. 25) is in excellent shape and has proven it once again. The Australian tennis player won a 3-1 set against No. 1 Daniil Medvedev to qualify for the quarterfinals of the US Open.
Kyrgios put on his own show in another game by scoring impressive points. He won the first set in a tie-break, the Russian equalized 1-1.
However, the Australian dominated the next two (6-3, 6-2) and managed to claim the win in two hours and 53 minutes. Kyrgios’ next opponent is Karen Khachanov (No. 31).
“I want to show my talent to New York. There’s no better place than to prove what I’ve accomplished over the past few months. I want to go all the way.” explained Kyrgios.
