Spanish legendary tennis player Raphael Nadal (ATP 2) commented on the loss against francis tiafoe In the 1/8 finals of the US Open tennis championship:

“I’m not young anymore, not that fast. I played a bad game and Francis played well. Everything is simple. I couldn’t keep tennis at a high level for a long time. Tennis is a positional sport, you have to be young and fast. I am no longer the same. My shot needs to be better. My understanding of the game and the quality of my shots were not good enough, they were poor because I couldn’t produce much today. With all due respect to Tiafoe, she was better than me and it’s time for me to go home.

Note that Nadal has won the US Open 4 times (2010, 2013, 2017, 2019). Most likely, Nadal will not be the 1st racket in the world according to the results of the tournament, but there is still a chance.
