Khachanov and Kirios match at US Open was interrupted due to hair cutting in the arena
During the US Open quarterfinal match between Russian Karen Khachanov and Australian Nick Kirios, two fans on the stands of the Arthur Ashe stadium court violated discipline and were sent off the game, reports Teraz.sk.
The match was interrupted for some time after one of the fans began to cut the other’s hair with a clipper. Tournament security immediately took them out of the territory. One of the men had scissors in his hand, and the other was wearing a cloak. Such ammunition is usually used by hairdressers so that the hair does not fall on the client. Later it turned out that it was a prank of a YouTuber who does similar tricks.
Khachanov defeated Kirios in five sets with a score of 7:5, 4:6, 7:5, 6:7 (3:7), 6:4 and now he will play with the Norwegian Kasper Ruud in the semifinals.
