Rublev lost to American Tiafoe in the quarterfinals of the US Open

Russian Andrey Rublev failed to reach the semi-finals of the US Open.
The ninth racket of the tournament, Rublev, lost in the quarterfinals to the owner of the 22nd seeded American Francis Tiafoe – 6:7 (3:7), 6:7 (0:7), 4:6. The opponents spent 2 hours and 39 minutes on the court.
Tiafoe will face the winner of the pair Yannick Sinner (Italy, 11) – Carlos Alcaras (Spain, 3) in the semifinals. Russian Karen Khachanov and Norwegian Kasper Ruud will play in the second semi-final.
For the 24-year-old Rublev, this was the third quarterfinal in the US Open in his career.
