Nadal’s successor. Carlos Alcaraz in Week 2 at US Open

Alcaraz did not give up a set to its opponents in the tournament held in New York. He defeated Sebastian Baez in the 1/64 final by refusal in the 2nd set and confidently fought another Argentine Federico Coria (Argentina, ATP 78) in the 1/32 final.

Also, in the 1/8 finals of the tournament, the Spaniard will play with Marin Cilic (Croatia, ATP 17). This will be the fourth meeting of tennis players. The previous two matches played this year went to the Spaniard, while the first game in 2021 resulted in the Croatian victory.

The match will not be earlier than 18:00 Kyiv time on September 5th.
