Tsurenko’s next opponent at the tournament in Slovenia has been revealed
The next rival of the Ukrainian tennis player became famous Lesia Tsurenko (WTA 92) at the WTA 250 series tough tournament in Portoroz (Slovenia).
Ukrainian will play in the quarter-finals Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan, WTA 25).
In the 1/8 final, Rybakina defeated Tereza Martintsova (Czech Republic, WTA 66) 6:4, 6:1 in 1 hour and 13 minutes in two sets.
Note that Elena Rybakina won the trophy at Wimbledon this season.
Earlier, Tsurenko defeated Ekaterina Alexandrova.
Lesya and Elena have already played with each other, and this year. At the grass tournament held in Eastbourne (England), the 33-year-old Ukrainian tennis player defeated the Kazakhstan representative in three sets.
The girls will enter the courtroom before 12:00 Kyiv time on September 16.
