Roger Federer has said goodbye to the tennis courts after an illustrious career and the tennis world continues to bow to ‘The King’, with Novak Djokovic speaking of his immense honor in knowing the Swiss on and off the court.

September 15, 2022 was a sad day for the tennis world after Roger Federer, aged 41, announced his decision to withdraw from the tournament after winning a total of 20 Grand Slams and 103 titles, with “The King” always still the apotheosis of colleagues, media and ordinary people to know.

In fact, one of the special messages the Swiss legend received came from Novak Djokovic’s official account on Instagram, where the owner of 21 Grand Slam titles was dripping honey for the tennis phenomenon named Roger Federer.

“Roger, it’s hard to look back on that day and put into words what we’ve shared together in this sport. Over a decade of incredible moments and struggles to remember. Her career has set the tone for what it means to excel and lead with honesty and integrity.

It’s an honor to know you on and off the pitch and for many years to come. I know this new chapter has amazing things in store for you, Mirka and the kids, all your loved ones and your fans have a lot to look forward to.

From our family to yours, we wish you happiness, health and prosperity in the future. I look forward to celebrating your achievements and seeing you in London.” characteristically wrote the Serb, who will take part in the Laver Cup next week, where Roger Federer will finally say goodbye to the courts.
