STAKHOVSKY: “Azarenka was the only one empathetic”
Ukrainian tennis player Sergei Stakhovsky He talked about the humanitarian aid he received from Victoria Azarenka for young tennis players.
“We met Victoria Azarenka at Roland Garros – to be honest, she was the only person who approached me, who began to communicate and empathize. She almost started crying there because all this is happening and she doesn’t know what to do or how to react. He asked what he could do, and I told him you could donate money, transfer things, do whatever you could.
He handed me a bag of Nike items that were directly his own. For a long time I could not practice them because there was no master class and I did not want to give them that way. They finally reached the Dnieper and Zaporozhye – today I dispersed them. The main thing is that this is a big buzz for kids, because these are things that come directly from it, so they have great tennis value for kids. So I’m sure it will cheer them up,” said Stakhovsky.
