The Sakkari draw for the Parma Ladies Open
The draw for next week’s Parma Ladies Open has been made and Maria Sakkari (No.6) is learning her way in her bid to win the 2nd WTA title of her career.
Maria Sakkari (No. 6) has learned her likely path to next week’s Parma Ladies Open as she scrambles to win a second WTA title of her career and improve her points tally in 2022 to further her chances at the WTA -Final raise in November.
The Greek tennis player is No. 1 in the Italian clay tournament and will start her duties from the 2nd round. There she meets Aradska Rus (No. 101) and Pana Udvardi (No. 83).
If she confirms the forecasts and moves into the quarter-finals, the 27-year-old should beat the Italian, table no. 8 and No. 63 of the world tennis player Lucia Brodzetti find a few weeks ago , Valentini Grammatikopoulou won in the final of the WTA 125 in Vancouver.
Based on the seedings, 2017 US Open champion, former WTA World No. 3 and current No. 50 Sloane Stevens is Sakkari’s most likely opponent in the semifinals of the Parma Ladies Open.
At the bottom of the panel, the names of Martina Trevisan and Irina Camelia Begu stand out. The Italian and semi-finalist of this year’s Roland Garros is number 2 on the board, the experienced Romanian is number 3.
