Ukrainian Tennis Federation to organize two junior ITF tournaments
In the first two weeks of November, tennis competitions will be held among athletes under the age of 18.
International tournaments The ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors, which will be held in Leszno, Poland, will be dedicated to all the victims of Russia’s war against Ukraine, with their symbolic names “Bucha Cup” and “Mariupol Cup”. Tennis players from Russia and Belarus will not be allowed to participate.
This was made possible thanks to a long series of negotiations with the International Tennis Federation, which continues to organize FTU quota tournaments in neighboring countries, and cooperation with the Polish Tennis Association. It is reported that Ukrainian players will receive all the main privileges of the host tournament status – first of all, they will become the main contenders of the wild card.
The Ukrainian Tennis Federation will continue to work to organize further international quota competitions in partner countries.
