Ukrainian Volodko passed the first round of the main draw of the tournament in the USA
Katerina Volodko, 36, (former Bondarenko) defeated sixth seed Robin Anderson from the USA at the first round meeting of the main draw of the ITF tournament in Templeton, USA.
It took three sets and almost two hours for the Ukrainian to win. The victory over Anderson, the world’s 154th racket, was the highest rating for Volodko in a single round since January of this year.
