Djokovic: “My goal now is to reach the last ATP tournament”
Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic He said that he played in the Laver Cup with an ankle injury and aims to enter the last tournament of the ATP:
“Honestly, I’ve been battling with the injury to my right ankle for the last four or five days. I’ve had his condition under control. Yesterday’s two games were probably affected. Today was not easy. I wasn’t able to serve as quickly and accurately as I would have liked. It affected the whole game.
I want to qualify for the final tournament in Turin. I have good prospects. I’m going to play at the ATP 500 tournament in Tel Aviv and Kazakhstan, and then I planned to go to Bercy and Turin. We’ll see if everything stays the same or if things change.”
The Laver Cup ended with the rest of the world team winning 13:8 against the European team. The day before, Djokovic won a match against American Francis Tiafoe, then won the doubles match, but lost to Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime on the decisive day of the tournament.
