Khachanov and Kotov overcame the first round at the tennis tournament in Astana

Russian tennis players Karen Khachanov and Pavel Kotov reached the second round of the ATP 500 category tournament in Astana in singles.

Khachanov defeated the American Maxim Cressy with a score of 6:4, 7:6 (7:3). The meeting lasted 1 hour 29 minutes. Khachanov, ranked 18th in the world ranking, made seven innings right through and three double faults.

Kotov defeated the Spaniard Alejandro Davidovich-Fokina. The match lasted 1 hour 39 minutes and ended with the score 6:4, 6:4. On the account of the Russian, not a single ace and not a single mistake on the pitch.

In the second round Khachanov will meet the winner of the match Marin Cilic (Croatia) – Oscar Otte (Germany). Kotov will play with Roberto Bautista-Agut from Spain.
