Sakkari 2-0 Potapova: Maria lasted until the end and qualified for the ’16’

The game

In the second set, Sakkari continued the same pattern as she broke on Potapova’s serve (1-0) while defending her serve in the second and more time-consuming set after initially eliminating four break points from Potapova. However, the Russian tennis player showed “firmness” and won three sets in a row (2-3).

From then on, the two tennis players defended their serve until the eighth game (4:4). Sakkari made the break in the ninth game with nice hits and in the end served successfully to win the game.
