“Medvedev is in very good shape” – Olkhovsky about the tennis player’s performance at the tournament in Astana

Two-time Grand Slam champion in mixed doubles, Russian Andrey Olkhovsky, believes that ex-first racket of the world Daniil Medvedev is in good physical shape at the ATP 500 tournament in Astana.
On Thursday, Medvedev reached the quarterfinals of the competition, beating Finn Emil Ruusuvuori.
– Even after the first match in Astana, I said that Daniil is in very good shape and it is quite difficult to beat him now. To do this, you need to have a special weapon against which Medvedev will have no opposition. Now he is in good condition, and therefore we do not see the proper resistance from his rivals, – Olkhovsky told the “Championship”.
The next opponent of the Russian in the tournament will be Spaniard Roberto Bautista-Agut.
Medvedev is the winner of the 2021 US Open, a finalist in three Grand Slams in singles. During his career, the 26-year-old Russian earned about $25 million in prize money.
