The 25-year-old Argentine dared to talk about his orientation on his partner’s birthday. She posted joint photos with her soul mate on Instagram and confessed her love:
“Today I congratulate you from afar, but I feel that you are close to every day of my life”– Podoroska wrote on Instagram.
Tennis legend reacts to Argentine tennis players’ exit Billie Jean King. The winner of 39 Grand Slam tournaments and an openly lesbian congratulated Podoroska on her bold move, adding that it was “worth it”.
In response, the Argentine tennis player expressed his respect for King:
“You are a true role model in the fight for equality in sport and beyond.”
He was born in Rosario, Argentina and grew up in nearby Fisherton. He is one of three children of his parents and his grandparents were Ukrainian.
Earlier, Russia’s first racket Daria Kasatkina also openly admitted her orientation.
