Parks – Sakkari 2-1: Early disqualification for Maria at the Ostrava Open

The Greek tennis player couldn’t find any solutions against the superb service of the 21-year-old American, who finished the game with 15 aces (8 double faults) but also with 17 backhand winners compared to just one by Sakkaris.
Sakkari broke up with Guten Morgen but Parks equalized in the same vein and then went 2-1 up, with the Greek champions responding in the next game. The two tennis players continued…so up to 5-5, however Sakkari was more effective and won the next two games and the first set 7-5.
In the second set, the two tennis players held their serve until the eleventh game. However, in the 12th and decisive point and with a score of 6-5 in her favor, Parks broke Sakkari and won the second set 7-5, leveling the match.
The third set was similar to the second, with both opponents holding until the 11th game, which ended with Parks leading 6-5. Then the American broke Sakkari’s serve to celebrate the set 7-5 and qualifying for the win.
