Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremskaya (No. 94 WTA) started off with a victory at the WTA 250 tournament in Romania.
In the first round, the Ukrainian beat Germany’s Tamara Korpach (98th WTA), leaving the match points.

In the final match, the German won with a score of 5:2 and also had a double match point.
Note that Dayana interrupted eight consecutive losing streaks. The last time she left the field as the winner was in June, when she defeated the world’s 16th racket Alena Ostapenko in Birmingham, Latvia.
In the next round, Yastremska will face Jasmine Paolini (WTA #78) or Marta Kostyuk (WTA #56).
