Young Ukrainian tennis player will play in the Final tournament

Ukrainian tennis player Nikita Belozertsev will play in the tournament Tennis European Junior Masters, It will be held between 26-28 October 2022 at Monte-Carlo Country Club among tennis players in the U-16 and U-14 age categories.

Nikita is the only representative of Ukraine in this tournament. He will compete in the U-14 category. In January, the Ukrainian won a Super tournament in Khimki and at the end of July became the winner of the Super tournament in Düren, Germany. Belozertsev also has two finals in the first category competitions (singles and doubles) in Burgas, doubles in the second category tournament in Maribor and two doubles finals in the U16 category.

The first Tennis Europe Junior Masters was held in 1996. Future number one Kim Clijsters and Rafael Nadal were among the champions of the competition. Andy Murray, Alexander Zverev, Simona Halep and Belinda Bencic became the winners of the Tennis European Final Championship.

Ukrainian tennis players have yet to win the Tennis Europe Junior Masters. In 2015, she played Marta Kostyuk in the final of the U14 category competition (losing to Helen Pelicano from Malta). Among the 16-year-old tennis players, silver medal winners were: Anna Poznikhirenko (2009 / lost to Serbia’s Jovanna Jaksic), Alexander Lebedin (2011 / lost to Slovakia’s Matej Maruschak) and Victoria Dema (2015 / Serbia’s Marina Roberta’ or defeated) Spain).
