Roger Federer won’t come to Basel and stresses that it’s too early for him after what happened when he left London.

In a statement, Roger Federer explained the reasons why he will not take part in the indoor tournament in Basel, which starts on October 24.

“Thank you to the organizers for their willingness to welcome me to Basel this year. I’m trying to process everything that’s happened lately. The celebration at my home in Basel will have a very special meaning, but after London it’s still too early for me.

I have so many incredible memories from playing at home for so many years and I hope the tournament continues to be one of the top stops on the ATP Tour.”said the Swiss.

We remind you that Federer has won the title in Basel 10 times while also being a finalist five times, as well as a ball boy at the event in 1993 before making his tour debut.

World No. 1 Carlos Alcarath, Casper Rudd, Nick Kyrgios, Andy Murray and Stan Wawrinka will be taking part in this year’s Swiss Indoors.
