Vesnina believes that the cooperation between Tursunov and Bencic will be successful

The 2016 Olympic doubles champion Russian tennis player Elena Vesnina believes that the cooperation between Russian coach Dmitry Tursunov and Swiss Belinda Bencic will be successful.

Earlier it became known that Tursunov stopped working with the British Emma Radukanu. Later, information appeared that Tursunov joined the Bencic team.

– Dmitry already has experience in the women’s tennis tour, which is extremely important. He gained this experience and has an idea how to lead a tennis player in women’s tennis. I think they will succeed. Belinda is a very talented and incredibly efficient tennis player, an Olympic champion.

Apparently, Belinda wants to change something in her game, to add something. Dmitry has proved himself over these two years as such a coach who adds confidence to tennis players and does not change the technical aspects drastically, but change the game in a positive way. Previously, Tursunov coached the Belarusian Arina Sobolenko and the Estonian Anette Kontaveit, and both of them entered the top 10 with him.
