Honored coach of Russia Viktor Yanchuk, commenting on the victory of tennis player Andrei Rublev at the tournament in Gikhon, expressed the opinion that it is time for the Russian to win the Grand Slam tournament.

Rublev defeated the American Sebastian Korda in the final with a score of 6:2, 6:3.

– Rublev, who has already proved himself, occupies a high place in the ranking. This is a very qualified and recognized player who can only improve and aim to be in the top five. Maybe it’s time to hit the Grand Slam tournament.

He was obliged to clean up the cord, which he did. He has a very strong weapon, which invariably does not fail him, a right hand. His serve does not fail: he has a good command of his serve and wins games on it. Also, in terms of pace, Rublev is ahead of many recognized players.

However, it is necessary that Andrey be on the rise, not freak out too much: at least not to beat himself with a racket in the legs. You don’t have to be so cruel to yourself. We need to cool our minds. The mind must be calculating. He must not lose his composure, and everything else is at a high level, – Yanchuk told the “Championship”.

The 24-year-old Russian won the 12th trophy at the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) tournaments in his career and the fourth of the season.
