The Stockholm Open draw was made with Stefanos Tsitsipas in the same half as Tommy Paul and Francis Tiafoe.

In the same half as defending champion Tommy Paul and this year’s standout Francis Tiafoe, Stefanos Tsitsipas has been drawn for next week’s Stockholm Open.

On Saturday afternoon (10/15), the Greek tennis player found out his possible path to the ATP 250 tournament in Sweden, where he returns four years after winning the 1st title of his career to compete on the courts of the event.

The 24-year-old is number 1 in the table and gets a bye in the first round. In the 2nd he meets Ilia Ivaska (No. 77) and Maxim Cressi (No. 33).

In the quarterfinals, Tsitsipas has the defending champion and No. 8’s most likely opponent at the table in Tommy Paul. However, the American is worth noting that he will make his debut against legendary Bjorn Borg’s 19-year-old son Leo.

This year’s US Open semifinalist Frances Tiafoe and veteran Gigor Dimitrov are likely opponents in the other top quarterfinal. One of them is expected to find himself in the path of Stefanos in the semifinals.

As for the bottom of the board, No. 2 Cameron Norrie will have a difficult debut against Ashlan Karachev, while in the “eight” Dane Holger Roon will probably be waiting for him.

Denis Shapovalov and Alex de Minor also stand out with their presence in the 3rd quarter.

The possible quarterfinals of the Stockholm Open

  • Tsitsipas – Pol
  • Tiafoe – Dimitrov
  • Shapovalov – D minor
  • Nori – rune
