7 out of 8 participants of the WTA Finals have been identified
After the results of the third round of the WTA 1000 tournament held in Guadalajara, two more participants were determined to participate in the WTA Final Tournament.
These are Daria Kasatkina and Arina Sobolenko, who have already completed the fight for the cup in Mexico. Potential competitors Alyona Ostapenko, Danielle Collins and Madison Keys were also out of the competition with fewer points in the Championship race.
Only two tennis players remained in the fight for the final ticket: Veronika Kudermetova and Maria Sakkari. They will play in a full-time match in the 1/4 final stage.
Previously, Iga Sviontek, Ons Jaber, Jessica Pegula, Corey Gauff and Caroline Garcia were selected for the WTA Finals.
The competition will take place from October 31 to November 7 in Fort Worth (Texas, USA).
