Russian Daniil Medvedev confidently overcame the barrier of the first round of the tennis tournament in Vienna.
The first seed Medvedev at the start of the tournament beat the Georgian Nikoloz Basilashvili – 6:2, 6:2. The opponents spent just over an hour on the court. Earlier in their careers, tennis players have not met.
In the second round, Medvedev will play Austrian Dominic Thiem.
