In the third set, Katerina had a tough 10th game on her serve and had to save 3 match points. Then the game went to a tie-break and Katerina was able to save 2 more game points and she was only able to close the match in the seventh attempt.
In the 1/8 finals of the tournament, Bindl will face 30-year-old Spaniard Yvona Cavalier-Reimers (WTA 299).
It should be noted that Angelina Kalinina, who was previously the first seed of the competition, was eliminated from this tournament.
