Medvedev commented on reaching the final of the tournament in Vienna

Russian tennis player Daniil Medvedev said that the good execution of the serve allowed him to succeed in the semifinal match of the tournament in Vienna against Grigor Dimitrov.

The meeting ended with the score 6:4, 6:2 in favor of the Russian.

– It was a great match. There were a few moments where I thought I should have played a little better, tried to build pressure earlier. Then I managed to maintain stability, in important draws I managed to improve my level. Today it was enough, I am very pleased with my game.

The serve is perhaps the most important component in tennis. This season I had problems with this, I made too many double faults, sometimes in key moments the serve could be a little better. I worked a lot with my coach to try and find that rhythm, I serve well here. I am very happy about this, and that is why I play so well, ”the official website of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) quotes Medvedev as saying.

Denis Shapovalov (Canada) will face Medvedev, seeded under the first number, in the final.
