The famous tennis player called his father during the match
Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas He had a fight with his father, who was also his trainer.
In the 1/16 final of the ATP 500 series tournament held in Vienna (Austria) with Austrian Dennis Novak, Tsitsipas lost his temper. In the first set, Stefanos clearly didn’t have a game and showed his emotions. Inflicted by the wrath of a tennis player, his father, Apostolos, died. Tsitsipas asked him to leave his chest, and also accompanied the cry with the Greek curse “malak”.
Tsitsipas beat Novak with scores of 7:6 (7:2) and 6:2. However, in the next round, he lost to Croatian Borne Coric with scores of 6:4, 4:6, 6:7 (4:7).
Note that this is not the first time Tsitsipas has had a public discussion with his father. Apostolos was repeatedly warned for his loud tipping from the stands. Most of the time Stefanos is angry about his father’s behavior.
