Djokovic: The Serb sees positive news ahead of the Australian Open
Novak Djokovic has spoken about the possibility of attending the Australian Open, noting that he is receiving positive news about his three-year travel ban to Australia.
Novak Djokovic was optimistic in his statements to his compatriots that his 3-year entry ban for Australia will not be applied.
The top Serbian tennis player has expressed his hopes of participating in the 2023 Australian Open after embracing the great adventure he had at this year’s event, which saw him expelled from the country after it emerged illegal entry was involved.
The world No. 7 said he hopes to hear positive news soon of his attempt to lift the Australian government’s three-year visa ban.
“There is positive news, albeit unofficially. We communicate through my lawyers in Australia. They actually communicate with the authorities responsible for my case.
I’m hoping to get an answer in the next few weeks – whatever that answer is, but of course I’m hoping for a positive one – to give me enough time to prepare for the start of the season if it’s in Australia.” said the 35-year-old star.
