President of the Russian Tennis Federation (RTF) Shamil Tarpishchev believes that Russian tennis player Karen Khachanov can play at the level of the world twenty men’s ATP rating if he serves well.
Earlier, Khachanov reached the third round of the Masters series tournament in Paris, defeating Marc-Andrea Huesler with a score of 6:3, 4:6, 6:4.
– Khachanov has long gained self-confidence and has been playing decently for about six months. He just had to diversify the game.
As for the match with Huesler, if Karen serves reliably – under 70% – he does not lose his serve. It is due to such a pitch, when the opponent takes a short, positional rally in Karen’s pocket. Then it remains only to crush the opponent. Karen is very dependent on the first serve. If everything is in order with the pitch, he plays at the level of the world twenty, – Tarpishchev is quoted by the “Championship”.
In the next round of the tournament, the 26-year-old Russian will face Serb Novak Djokovic.
