Dayana YASTREMSKA: “I have sincerely supported Shakhtar for a year”

Ukrainian tennis player Dayana Yastremskaya He explained why he came to Warsaw to support Shakhtar in the Leipzig match.

– What is your purpose of coming to Warsaw?

In general, I have a very tight schedule. I have tournaments, I have preparations. Now there is an opportunity. I’ve always wanted to go to a crazy football game, especially when playing Ukraine. And then I had such an opportunity – I came to support Ukraine guys. I don’t know how to describe the feelings because it will be a first for me. I am really looking forward to the match, I will support the guys madly. It will probably be one of the coolest feelings I’ve ever experienced.

– Since when do you support Shakhtar?

– I’ve always liked the Shakhtar team. Very promising players in this team. I watched different teams many times in Ukraine. But to me, Shakhtar is one of the strongest and most valuable teams in Ukraine. This is to sincerely cheer up this team – maybe for a year.

– What do you expect from the Leipzig match?

– Probably, just cool feelings. I don’t think it matters whether you win or lose. The main thing is for men to give themselves completely, so that they themselves rise. If the guys work hard and they want it, I’m sure we’ll win.

They gave me a Mudrik T-shirt. I am very pleased. Visiting such a stadium during a training session – I think not everyone has such an opportunity. That’s why I’m so grateful. I am ready to gladly invite everyone to my tournaments. I guess this isn’t my last time going to the stadium.

– How do you feel when you meet Ukrainians abroad?

“Probably the first thing I feel is power. I have that kind of togetherness: when I see a Ukrainian, I immediately call myself “power.” I can say that the team is the most important team.

– What would you like to say to all Ukrainians?

– I want to say that despite all the difficulties in this difficult time, watch football. It will give you some wonderful feelings that are unrealistic, positive. Of course, there is enough adrenaline, but this is completely different. And of course I want to call Ukraine Glory, ”said Yastremska.

The match will be played in Warsaw on Wednesday. It starts at 19:45 Kyiv time.
