The winner of five Grand Slam tournaments, former world number one Maria Sharapova admitted that she constantly feels hungry because of breastfeeding.
In July, 35-year-old Sharapova became a mother for the first time – a Russian woman and British businessman Alexander Gilks had a boy, who was named Theodore.
“My routine mostly consists of praying, “Please make this a good dream so I can have a really good morning!” But in fact, the baby sleeps pretty well. I got lucky with this.
A big part of any routine depends on how you eat. Since I am breastfeeding, I am always hungry. I think everyone deals with their bodies differently after giving birth, but I feel like I always need to eat now, which I didn’t have during my pregnancy, so it’s an interesting balance.
Now I feel like I have to constantly produce milk (laughs), so I need food! It’s a weird balance and I’m still trying to figure it out, but your health always starts with what you eat. It’s hard, but I’m trying to get used to having a big breakfast. I usually make oatmeal, cut fruit, add some flax and chia seeds and some honey. This is how my day begins, – quotes the words of Sharapova New Beauty.
