11th consecutive Paris Masters win for Djokovic against Cressey in an emphatic manner

Novak Djokovic defeated Maxime Cressy 2-0 (7-6, 6-4) and advanced emphatically to the next round of the Paris Masters.

Novak Djokovic, holder of six Paris Masters titles, began his duties at this year’s event with an impressive win, making a real master class from the service line.


The 35-year-old Serb claimed his 11th consecutive victory at Bercy, winning the first of five matches he must win to be crowned champion for the third straight tournament.

Djokovic dropped just six points on serve, defeating Maxime Cressy (no. 34). 7-6(1), 6-4 and has advanced to Round 3 where he’s waiting to find out who he’ll be up against. Either Karen Khachanov or Mark Andrea Hussler.

To celebrate his 10th consecutive victory on the tour, Nole, fresh from two titles in Tel Aviv and Nur Sultan, committed just three unforced errors and left the court with an impressive performance and qualifying, scoring 48/54 lagged behind his serve.

Despite serving 15 aces, Cressy couldn’t resist the Serb’s appetite, who was determined and proved cool enough in the crunch not to drop a set on his debut.
