The first racket of the world Alcaraz will not play in the final tournament of the ATP due to an injury to the abdominal muscles
Spaniard Carlos Alcaras, the first racket of the world, has announced that he will miss the final tournament of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) and the final stage of the Davis Cup due to injury.
Alcaraz on Friday was unable to finish the match with the Dane Holger Rune in the ¼ finals of the Masters in Paris.
– My diagnosis is a rupture of the internal oblique muscle of the abdominal wall, the estimated recovery time is six weeks. Unfortunately, I will not be able to take part in the final ATP tournament and the Davis Cup final. It’s hard and painful for me to miss these two important events for me, but all I can do is stay positive and focus on recovery. Thank you for your support,” the Spaniard wrote on his Twitter page.
The place of the 19-year-old Alcaraz in the final tournament, which will be held November 13-20 in Turin, will be taken by the American Taylor Fritz.
