36-year-old Ukrainian tennis player Katerina Volodko (WTA 339) advanced to the quarterfinals in the 60,000th quarterfinal in Barranquilla, Colombia.
In the 1/8 final, the Ukrainian defeated Slovakia’s Victoria Morvayova (WTA 377) in two sets in 53 minutes.

Interestingly, a few hours ago, Katerina confidently defeated Colombian Maria Erazo Gonzalez. Thus, Volodko managed to win two matches in a day, which is quite rare.
In the quarter-finals of the tournament, the Ukrainian athlete will face Maria Lourdes Carle (Argentina), who defeated Lexi Stevens (Netherlands) in three sets at 22:30 Kyiv time. This will be the third match of the day for Katerina!
The tournament started on November 1, although it was scheduled for October 31. The first round matches were only completed on November 2, as it had been raining all week.
