ATP Finals: Nadal and Tsitsipas in the first capacity group

ATP has announced the capacity groups for the ATP Finals, with Nadal and Tsitsipas seeded first. In detail how the eight athletes split up.

All eyes of the tennis world are now on the last big date of this year. The ATP Finals.

During the week of November 13-20, the top eight tennis players of the year will be in Turin, Italy, to compete against the backdrop of the 5th Grand Slam 2022, the culmination of another exciting season for the men’s tour.

This year’s event will be played without world number one Carlos Alcarath as the Spaniard pulled out due to a stomach injury.

Next Thursday (11/10) at 12:00 the draw will take place for the two groups of this year’s event, but we already know the seeds that will have the eight tennis players who will take part in the draw.

So we know the four seeders of the tournament, with Stefanos Tsitsipas in first place alongside Rafa Nadal.

In detail, the capacity groups of the ATP Finals 2022:

1: Nadal, Tsitsipas

2: Rudd, Medvedev

3: Aliasim, Rublev

4. Djokovic, Fritz

Tennis players from the same capacity group cannot be drawn together in the group stage. In other words, Tsitsipas, second in the table, will avoid facing Nadal in the groups.

For example, Novak Djokovic, who is in the 4th capacity group, can be drawn into the same group as: Nadal, Medvedev and Aliasim. In a possible “fire” group.
