Mertens and Kudermetova win the WTA Finals in pairs
In the doubles final match of the WTA Final Tournament, current winners and favorites of the match Czech Barbora Kreichikova and Katerina Sinyakova, Belgian Elise Mertens and Rash player Veronika Kudermetova came together on the field.
In the first set, Kreichikova and Sinyakova failed and lost (2:6), but corrected the situation in the second game (6:4). As a result, the fate of the championship was determined by a super tie-break. The Czech tennis players were up 7:2, but managed to lose the advantage, losing six draws in a row. With the score 9:8 in favor, Mertens and Kudermetova did not spin the matchball, but did not let them stumble again on the second try – 11:9.
