Vice President of the Russian Tennis Federation (RTF) Alexei Selivanenko believes that Serb Novak Djokovic played flawlessly against Russian Andrey Rublev in the group stage match at the final ATP tournament.

On Wednesday, Djokovic beat Rublev 6:4, 6:1 and advanced to the semi-finals of the tournament ahead of schedule.

– When you play with Novak, one badly played ball can completely change the course of the game. Until the score 5:4, there was an absolutely equal game, but Rublev’s mistake decided the outcome of the set. Then, at the beginning of the second set, Andrey had a mistake, after which Novak made several breaks, went into the lead and quite easily brought the game to victory.

It is better for Andrey’s coach to analyze the game. But visually from the side it was clear that it was not the best second serve. She didn’t let him keep his games. The rest for Novak has already become a matter of technology. Of course, I must say that Djokovic played today’s match just flawlessly, – Selivanenko is quoted by the “Championship”.

In two days, the 35-year-old Serb will meet with the Russian Daniil Medvedev. Rublev will play against the Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas.
