Casper Rudd continues his impressive run at the ATP Finals, securing his place in the semi-finals of the tournament with a 2-1 set against Fritz.

Casper Rudd reached the semifinals of the ATP Finals. The world No. 4 won a 2-1 set against Taylor Fritz, leveling the group at 2/2 and celebrating his presence in the top four.

The Norwegian started the match perfectly, taking a 3-0 lead with a quick break and then just holding serve to finish the set 6-3.

The second movement offered a completely different picture. The two tennis players held their serve until the tenth game. At this point, Fritz managed to break Rudd’s serve, finishing the set 6-4 and sending the match into a third set.

There we had a repeat of the second movement. Only this time none of them made the break and so we were put into the tie-break.

Rood got off to a great start and took a 5-1 lead, but Fritz didn’t give up. He took five of the next six points to level the tie break at 6-6. In the end it was Rude who finished the tie break and the match 6:3, 4:6, 7:6 (6).
