Minus one Russian in the Finals Tournament. Tsitsipas beat the first racket of the Russian Federation
Greek tennis player Stefanos Tsitsipas (ATP 3) Lost in the second round of the group stage in the final ATP tournament Danil Medvedev (ATP 5) in three sets of 2 hours and 23 minutes.

In the third set, Tsitsipas was defeated 3:5, Medvedev did not apply with the score of 5:4 and soon the Greek won the match with a tie-break.
Note that Medvedev is the first racket of the Russian Federation. In the final round, he lost to compatriot Andrei Rublev. Due to two losses, he no longer has a chance to reach the play-offs of the tournament.
Meanwhile, Novak Djokovic and Andrei Rublev finished their match earlier in this group. The Serbian confidently defeated Andrey and advanced ahead of schedule to the semi-finals of the Final ATP Tournament. In the final round, Tsitsipas and Rublev will play last place in the playoffs, and Djokovic will play a decisive match with Medvedev.

Four Ukrainian tennis players were included in the doubles entry list Australian Open 2025.
Ukrainian women will play in the doubles tournament on the courts of Melbourne: Marta Kostyuk, Dayana Yastremskaya, Lyudmila Kichenok and Nadezhda Kichenok. Unfortunately, there will be no all-Ukrainian tandem in Australia.
Kostyuk will perform alongside Elena-Gabriela Ruse at the Aus Open, and Yastremskaya will play alongside Alisha Parks.
Lyudmila and Nadezhda will not play together at AO-2026, although they will start the season with the same duet in the Brisbane 500 meters. It was announced that Lyudmila will be with Katie Volynets, and Nadezhda will be with Makoto Ninomiya.
Australian Open 2026 will take place from January 12 to February 1. Elina Svitolina, Marta Kostyuk, Dayana Yastremskaya and Alexandra Oleynikova will represent Ukraine in singles. Yulia Starodubtseva, Angelina Kalinina, Daria Snigur and Vitaly Sachko will perform in the eliminations.

Russian Karen Khachanov moved from 18th to 17th place in the ranking of the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), a new version of which was published on the organization’s website.
The best among Russians remains Daniil Medvedev, located in 13th place, Andrei Rublev is 16th. There have been no changes in the top ten rankings: Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz is in the lead, Italian Jannik Sinner is second, and German representative Alexander Zverev is in third.
