Honored Coach of Russia Vladimir Kamelzion shared his expectations from the semifinal meeting between Andrey Rublev and Kasper Ruud as part of the Final Tournament, noting that he is counting on the victory of the Russian.
Rublev reached the semi-finals of the Final Tournament for the first time in his career.
– Rublev should beat Ruud. But the coach thinks one thing, and the player does something completely different. We can think, dream, want and get sick, but an artist enters the court – he plays himself, and nothing stands behind him. You can’t give a pass, as in football, hockey or basketball, in tennis you can’t – you have to play everything yourself. I would really like Andrew to win. I will root for him, – quotes the words of Kamelzon “Championship”.
The first finalist of the tournament earlier on Saturday was Serb Novak Djokovic, who defeated American Taylor Fritz.
