1995 Davis Cup finalist Andrey Chesnokov believes that three matches in the group stage of the ATP Finals were more difficult for Russian Andrey Rublev than the semi-final duel with Norwegian Kasper Ruud.

Rublev reached the semi-finals of the Final Tournament for the first time in his career.

– It will be easier for Rublev to play against Ruud after winning the match against Tsitsipas. If I’m not mistaken, they met each other five times: the Norwegian won four times. Let’s see how it will be this time.

It seems to me that for Rublev, three matches in the group were more difficult than the upcoming semi-final with Ruud, Chesnokov quotes the “Championship”.

The first finalist of the tournament earlier on Saturday was Serb Novak Djokovic, who defeated American Taylor Fritz.
