Former world ranking leader Serb Novak Djokovic spoke of constant criticism for his statements and, in particular, for his position on vaccination.
Previously, the tennis player missed several major tournaments, as he refused to be vaccinated against the coronavirus.
“People sometimes think that I’m fake, that I do certain things because I want to be loved. It’s not, I’m just trying to be sincere. This is what we are losing.
It is impossible to please everyone, but now political correctness makes us refuse to express our ideas. Freedom of speech for me today is just an illusion.
I spoke out for the freedom to control my body, and I was immediately accused of being against vaccines, which I am not. If you don’t stick to a certain mindset, you quickly become a bad guy. This is not good, — quotes the words of the tennis player La Stampa.
Djokovic has reached the final of the ATP Finals against Kasper Ruud of Norway.
